About Me, Josefine Bertvig
My yoga journey began in 2002 when I attended my first Kundalini yoga course. Through yoga, I have learned a great deal about myself, deepened my sense of connection with others, and built a strong foundation within myself.
Since then, yoga has been an essential part of my life. I have continued to learn and explore various forms of yoga and yoga philosophy. In 2017, I started teaching Hatha Yoga.
With extensive experience in yoga, as well as in stress management and mindfulness, I am passionate about making yoga accessible to everyone and sharing the knowledge and benefits yoga can bring—mentally, spiritually, and physically.
My goal is for you to feel welcome and safe to explore yoga at your own pace, based on your unique circumstances. In a world filled with demands and performance pressure, my classes offer you a space to let go of all that, to allow yourself to simply be in your body, your breath, and your movement, and to land in the present moment—life as it is, here and now.
By creating a balance between strength and relaxation, I aim to help you find your flow, connect with your inner power, and live with more energy and harmony—both on and off the yoga mat.
About AVA Yoga
AVA Yoga has blossomed from a dream I have carried for many years. My driving force has always been to guide others toward their best possible health and well-being, a passion that has shaped both my studies and my work. For several years, I worked with yoga voluntarily, but eventually, I decided to follow my dreams and start my own business.
Through AVA Yoga, my goal is to offer a form of yoga that is accessible and safe, focusing on allowing participants to discover yoga in their own way and at their own pace.
Sometimes, when we dare to take that leap, it feels as if everything falls into place—a true sense of flow!
After making the decision to start AVA Yoga, I reconnected with my first yoga teacher, Mella, and was given the opportunity to hold my yoga classes at her beautiful studio, CHANDRA Kundalini Yoga Center, starting in the fall of 2024.
I feel such deep joy and gratitude after every yoga class! It is humbling to have the trust of others, to guide them in this ancient tradition, and to make its wisdom accessible and understandable.
It is truly an honor to contribute to spreading yoga’s message of both inner and outer peace—something our world so greatly needs today.

The Name AVA Yoga
Acceptance – I welcome every participant as they are, without expectations or demands. Yoga should be a space where you can let go of comparisons and embrace both your strengths and limitations.
Vitality – The yoga classes are designed to strengthen the body and mind, boost energy, and create flow so you can face life with vigor and joy.
Awareness – Through mindful breathing and presence in each movement, I aim to help you deepen your connection with yourself and build an inner balance that permeates your entire daily life.
AVA Yoga not only stands for Acceptance, Vitality, and Awareness, but it also serves as a tribute to my three children: Anton, Viktor, and Alice. They are my inspiration and bring so much joy to my life. They fill my days with laughter, wonder, and love.
